Municipal Wireless Leader Kicks Off Multi-City VAR Roadshow at the Wireless Communications Association (WCA) Symposium, January 17, Fairmont Hotel, San Jose

Kanata, Ontario -- BelAir Networks, the leading provider of mobile broadband multi-service wireless mesh network solutions, today announced an enhanced Value-Added Reseller (VAR) Channel Program to help partners take advantage of the fast growing wireless mesh infrastructure market. BelAir Networks offers VARs award-winning wireless mesh network solutions that deliver industry-leading broadband performance and scalability as well as carrier-class capacity and reliability.

According to ABI Research, the wireless mesh market will continue to grow rapidly and estimates that more than one million wireless mesh routers will be shipped in 2010, achieving revenues in excess of $1.2 billion. This fast growing marketplace offers great opportunities for VARs looking to provide customers with the highest performing wireless mesh technology. With 200 deployments worldwide, BelAir Networks and its partners have deployed next generation wireless mesh networks in leading cities including Minneapolis, London, and Toronto, as well as high-profile venues such as Dolphin Stadium in Miami. BelAir Networks offers partners the industry’s most flexible and comprehensive wireless mesh product portfolio.

“We have enhanced and expanded our program in response to strong interest from VARs who want to take advantage of the opportunities offered now in the wireless mesh space. In addition to industry-leading incentives, the program offers many benefits including market development support and comprehensive technical training – all designed to give our partners a quick ramp-up in this fast-paced market,” stated Jim Freeze, SVP of Marketing and Alliances, BelAir Networks. “We offer existing and potential partners a streamlined process to maximize sales and a tremendous opportunity to support their profit goals.”

“AFL’s full-service professional engineering and management teams have managed more than 28,000 network sites across the country for leading wireless companies, and we’ve been really impressed by the performance and reliability of BelAir Networks solutions,” said Ed Wallace, Director of the Advanced Solutions Group, at AFL Network Services Division, a subsidiary of Fujikura Ltd. “BelAir’s channel program now provides enhanced education and incentives to expand our business opportunities with carrier-grade wireless mesh.”

BelAir Networks’ VAR Program offers unmatched benefits including sales, technical and marketing support customized to each partner’s goals. Features of the program include:
  • Three tiers with increasing levels of incentives – Platinum, Gold and Silver
  • Technical and sales certification through BelAir University webinars
  • Industry-leading Market Development Funds, rewards and rebates
  • Partner Advisory Council

“I’ve been happy to team with BelAir Networks to deliver proven, cost-effective wireless broadband mesh networks in Beaverton, the City of Sherwood and throughout Washington County,” said Rick Lindahl, President, Invictus Networks, a leading wireless VAR based in Oregon. “BelAir Networks products have always led the industry in performance and QoS critical for next generation wireless networks.”

BelAir will kick off the new VAR program with a multi-city seminar series entitled “From City to Stadium: Broadband Wireless Mesh Technology for Value-Added Resellers”. The first seminar will be held at the WCA Symposium on Wednesday, January 17, from 9:30 am to 12:30 PST in the Empire Room of the Fairmont Hotel, 170 South Market Street, San Jose, CA. BelAir executives and industry analysts will discuss mobile broadband wireless mesh technology and next generation wireless networks. Future BelAir Network VAR seminars will take place at upcoming wireless tradeshows and conferences including MuniWireless in Dallas and Boston, and W2i Digital Cities in Chicago and Washington, DC.

For more information on the BelAir Networks VAR Channel Program and seminar series, please contact Karen O’Connor, Channel Director, 877-235-2471.
