For operators planning a
WiMAX deployment or evaluating investment in a WiMAX network, the
services and expertise of AIRCOM coupled with the WiROI Tool will
provide all the necessary data to complete the network development cycle
- from planning to a successful build out. The addition of the WiROI
Tool to AIRCOM International’s service offering ensures that AIRCOM’s
customer base of over half of the world’s network operators will all be
able to benefit from building convincing business cases when planning
WiMAX networks.
AIRCOM International recently announced the launch of ENTERPRISE 6.0,
its suite of tools for planning, optimizing and maintaining telecom
networks. This latest version has the potential to accelerate the roll
out and integration of both fixed and mobile WiMAX networks. Over
eighteen operators worldwide already trust AIRCOM International to
assist in the development of their WiMAX networks.
The WiROI Business Case Tool has been designed specifically for WiMAX
operators and allows them to customize a business case analysis for
their target market. The tool accepts a wide range of market data,
technical parameters, and financial and service planning inputs that can
be tailored to a particular geography. The WiROI Tool can simulate a
WiMAX network deployment and operation using a variety of service plans
and produces a detailed 10 year income statement, financial output
graphs, and key financial metrics. In addition, WiROI includes an
easy-to-use, interactive, dashboard-style Graphical User Interface (GUI)
to enable the user to perform Sensitivity Analyses in real-time and view
the results in an animated format instantly.
“When we first saw the WiROI Tool, we were extremely impressed,” said
Margaret Rice Jones, CEO, AIRCOM International. “Immediately we could
see the added benefits that we would be able to offer to our customers.
Our business is focused on developing true end-to-end solutions for our
customers. Adding the WiROI Tool to our offering gives us the ability to
engage with WiMAX operators even sooner in the business planning
process. WiMAX20/20’s tool, coupled with our experience in WiMAX network
planning, continues to expand the range of services that AIRCOM can
offer its clients.”
“Working with a leading provider such as AIRCOM extends the benefits of
our WiMAX financial modeling, strategic planning and business case
development processes to a wider set of emerging operators” said Randall
Schwartz, Principal Consultant at WiMAX 20/20.
“We believe that many licensees and new wireless broadband operators
need objective network and business modeling tools to develop and
evaluate their business cases,” explained Berge Ayvazian, Chief Strategy
Officer of the Yankee Group. “When combined with AIRCOM’s network design
and optimization tools, the WiROI financial modeling and WiMAX 20/20
business planning services can offer operators an end-to-end solution
for planning a new WiMAX deployment.”
The WiROI Business Case Tool supports over 250 input variables, allowing
operators to customize the model for their own particular market
deployment, services strategy, and financial constraints. The assumption
inputs for the model cover all critical aspects that an operator must
consider, including Market Data, Access Network Systems Parameters,
Financials, Network Deployment and Operating Expenses, Service
Assumptions, Marketing Assumptions, and Customer Premise Equipment.
A demonstration version of the WiROI Business Case Analysis Tool can be
test driven at the WiMAX 20/20 website (http://www.wimax2020.com).
