Crowd Comes to See WiMAX Wave 2 Demo and Hear Chip-Maker Panel
Discussion
Taipei, Taiwan -- LitePoint Corporation, a provider of wireless test
system solutions, took its WiMAX Wave 2 system test solution to Taiwan
and played to packed houses in Taipei and Hsinchu.
Well over a hundred engineers from major Taiwan original design makers (ODMs)
and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) came to each venue to see
LitePoint’s IQmax MIMO make short work of comprehensive WiMAX MIMO
testing, and to hear about the soon-to-be-released WiMedia test
solution. |
In addition, they had a
chance to participate in a panel discussion featuring Alan Yang,
Beceem’s country manager and Titan Liu, Sequans’ Taiwan distributor,
moderated by Rob Brownstein, a LitePoint vice president. Yang and Liu
described a WiMAX market approaching full bloom, and talked about a
flurry of base-station designs, inter-operability tests, and impressive
hand-off metrics. They both described a flourishing WiMAX ecosystem of
baseband and RF ICs, software, and testing capabilities.
LitePoint CEO, Benny Madsen, was on hand in both cities to provide an
update on LitePoint’s plans to serve the converging wireless broadband
market. “Events like these give us an opportunity to keep one of our
most important markets informed, and illustrate our close relationship
with wireless value-chain entities, like Beceem and Sequans,” he
explained. “WiMAX Wave 2 is on a roll and we’re doing our part to keep
up the momentum.” LitePoint’s popular seminar series moves on to Seoul,
South Korea next.
