September 29, 2009
Metuchen, NJ -- Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. and AirPatrol
Corporation today announced a partnership to help global 1000 companies
enforce 'no wireless' policies in their buildings.
Per the partnership agreement, Berkeley Varitronics will sell
AirPatrol's Wireless Locator System (WLS) throughout North America along
with their Yellowjacket b/a/n/g Tablet Analyzer to help secure
facilities that have 'no wireless' policies. AirPatrol's WLS sensors
warn security managers of potential wireless threats in the protected
perimeter and a security alert is sent out via email or text to the
guard on duty. The suspect target is depicted in real-time on a map by
unique signal strength triangulation techniques and can be monitored
closely for position and any suspicious activities. |

"Berkeley Varitronics is excited to
work with AirPatrol Corporation as a Premier Partner as we provide the
security industry's only handheld calibrated WiFi 802.11 b/a/n/g
direction finding solution," said Scott Schober, President and CEO,
Berkeley Varitronics Systems. "The Yellowjacket b/a/n/g Tablet Analyzer,
coupled with AirPatrol's WLS, gives IT administrators the ability to
root out illegal mobile phones, which is paramount throughout government
secured facilities, correctional institutions and global 1,000
corporations."
"The proliferation of smart phones and other 'always connected' devices
is making it increasingly difficult for corporations and government
agencies to enforce 'no wireless policies,' making this an ideal time to
bring Berkeley on board as a premier partner because of the company's
in-depth wireless industry knowledge," said Ozzie Diaz, CEO, AirPatrol
Corporation.
"AirPatrol's
Partner Program is rapidly expanding and we look forward to Berkeley
extending AirPatrol's reach with new customers currently struggling with
enforcement of their 'no wireless' policies."
If an IT administrator discovers suspicious wireless activity The
YellowJacket b/a/n/g WiFi Tablet can be dispatched to effectively bridge
the gap allowing the security manager to 'go mobile' and pinpoint the
target using the tuned DF-Direction Finding antenna of the Yellowjacket
and a specialized measurement mode. Both the Yellowjacket b/a/n/g Tablet
Analyzer and AirPatrol's WLS are wireless network independent and thus
invisible to the wireless intruder/hacker.
