Innovation at Work with New WiMAX and Wi-Fi Solutions at CTIA Wireless

WHAT:
LAS VEGAS -- Fujitsu Network Communications Inc., a leading supplier of
wireline and IT networking solutions, will be announcing details of
their new broadband wireless access strategy that leverages global
expertise and experience in wireless solutions. The associated products,
which comprise both WiMAX and Wi-Fi mesh solutions, will be demonstrated
within the Fujitsu booth (No. 763) at the upcoming Cellular
Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) Wireless 2006

In addition to new wireless solutions, Fujitsu will be showcasing its
entire portfolio of solutions that illustrate “Innovation at Work” for
wireless carriers, including:
Innovation for Wireless Data, which illustrates the benefits and cost
savings to wireless operators of building out their own wireline fiber
optic network backbone.
Innovation for Network Services, which describes how Fujitsu Network
Life Cycle Services can be used by carriers to support every phase of
their network with robust end-to-end solutions, including turnkey
wireless service installation and provisioning.
Innovation for Optical Networks, which uses Wavelength Selective Switch
(WSS) enabled Reconfigurable Add/Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) and
Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) control plane
intelligence in the core, and modular solutions with full G.709 optical
management in the metro and edge, to serve every need from Enterprise
data to Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) residential triple-play.
Jim Orr, principal network architect in the wireless market development
group at Fujitsu Network Communications, will be discussing the Fujitsu
perspective on WiMAX and 4G networking throughout April 2006 on the
