April 3, 2006

WHAT:

LAS VEGAS -- Fujitsu Network Communications Inc., a leading supplier of wireline and IT networking solutions, will be announcing details of their new broadband wireless access strategy that leverages global expertise and experience in wireless solutions. The associated products, which comprise both WiMAX and Wi-Fi mesh solutions, will be demonstrated within the Fujitsu booth (No. 763) at the upcoming Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) Wireless 2006 conference and exhibition in Las Vegas. For more information about the event, please visit http://www.ctiawireless.com.

In addition to new wireless solutions, Fujitsu will be showcasing its entire portfolio of solutions that illustrate “Innovation at Work” for wireless carriers, including:

Innovation for Wireless Data, which illustrates the benefits and cost savings to wireless operators of building out their own wireline fiber optic network backbone.

Innovation for Network Services, which describes how Fujitsu Network Life Cycle Services can be used by carriers to support every phase of their network with robust end-to-end solutions, including turnkey wireless service installation and provisioning.

Innovation for Optical Networks, which uses Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) enabled Reconfigurable Add/Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) and Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) control plane intelligence in the core, and modular solutions with full G.709 optical management in the metro and edge, to serve every need from Enterprise data to Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) residential triple-play.
Jim Orr, principal network architect in the wireless market development group at Fujitsu Network Communications, will be discussing the Fujitsu perspective on WiMAX and 4G networking throughout April 2006 on the Forbes InFlight Radio Channel on American Airlines and Northwest Airlines.
