This test system is based on the recently announced MINT T2110, the
first RF conformance test system for IEEE 802.16-2004 devices. MINT
T2110 will be supporting both Fixed WiMAX and Mobile RF testing. The
MINT family of test solutions for WiMAX comprises a radio conformance
tester (MINT T2110), a protocol conformance tester (MINT T2230) and a
protocol analyzer tool (MINT T2240).
MINT T2110 is based on CETECOM´s technology and a set of standard test
equipment, MINT T2110 covers the transmitter and receiver test cases for
Base Stations and Subscriber Stations, supports several profiles, and
provides a powerful Test Manager to automate the testing processes. MINT
T2110, both for Fixed and Mobile testing will be available in Q4 2006.

MINT T2110
CETECOM also is developing its MINT T2230 protocol conformance tester
for Mobile WiMAX testing, according to the IEEE 802.16e-2005 standard.
The architecture is based on CETECOM’s Dynamically Reconfigurable
Wireless Signalling Unit, built with picoChip´s hardware PC102 which
allows scalability and software reconfigurability. The MINT T2230 will
include the official TTCN code delivered by ETSI for certification and
CETECOM will combine R&D efforts with Aeroflex. Using the same
architecture, the MINT T2240 is a protocol analyzer tool (sniffer)
suitable to debug, test and verify the development of the 802.16e-2005
protocol, which provides capturing, decoding, filtering and displaying
features. Both the MINT 2230 and 2240 will be released later on this
year.
Andres Moreno, Telecommunications Director at CETECOM Spain, said “We
are very happy for this selection. The designation of MINT T2110 as one
of the official RCTT for Mobile WiMAX will provide our customers an
unrivalled test environment for R&D, pre-certification and final
certification testing. This product completes CETECOM’s portfolio of
conformance test solutions for WiMAX, including RCTT for Fixed WiMAX and
Mobile and PCT for Mobile WiMAX”.
