BWA
Technology
WiNetworks is a Principle Member of the WiMAX
forum since 2002 promoting and developing the WiMAX 802.16 standard.
With expertise in networks and multi-disciplinary technologies,
WiNetworks has 10 patents pending in the distribution and
optimization of WiMAX transmission in the broadcast environment.
These patents lead to the development of the WiN7000 Compact Base
Station and the Relay technology, which together form a strong
alternative solution for fixed wireless operators (BWA) to expand
their services on a ubiquitous scale.
The WiN7000’s compact design is the ideal solution to improve range
and capacity within a cell without the need to invest in the high
cost of deploying and housing large base stations. The all-outdoor
model lends flexibility in the installation and location of each
base station, and allows major flexibility in the installation and
location of each base station.
The patented relay technology optimizes the operator’s available
spectrum by increasing the cell modulation and throughput, reduces
interference in adjacent cells, and improves the link and coverage
for fixed and mobile subscribers that are receiving services in the
cell. This technology also improves the mobile client uplink budget
by balancing the return transmission of small devices such as mobile
handsets and PDAs, and thus increasing the total cell size.
WiNetworks brings patented WiMAX technologies
to the market enabling immediate, low cost delivery of wireless
broadband, optimized to meet the demands of the Broadband Wireless
Access Operator.
Flight Engine
WiMAX is reported to be the next big thing after WiFi, aiming to
take broadband everywhere at a fraction of the cost.
WiMAX Forum is a non-profit industry trade organization, formed by
leading communications component and equipment companies. It aims to
advance and certify the compatibility and interoperability of
broadband wireless access equipment that conforms to the IEEE 802.16
and ETSI HIPERMAN standards.
WiMAX is promoting a new standard for wireless Metropolitan Networks
(MAN) and last-mile wireless technologies designed to provide
standard and interoperable broadband connectivity to individuals,
homes, businesses, and Wi-Fi HotSpots.
The new IEEE802.16e standard extension extends WiMAX capabilities to
support portable and mobile usage, including laptops and 4th
generation mobile services.
WiNetworks’
patented HWDV™ technology extends existing networks to triple- play
functionality, using WiMAX standards to reach out to new
communications horizons.
