New York, NY -- WiNetworks, a pioneer and leader in the development and integration of WiMAX 802.16e Wave 2 (MIMO) technologies, announced today a new partnership with French operator Altitude Telecom, a subsidiary of Altitude Group and a well establish supplier of wireless services. Altitude Telecom has pioneered WiMAX services in France since 2004, and the new relationship with WiNetworks will help the company integrate cutting-edge solutions. Deployments of the Win-Max® solution have already started, facilitating on-going expansions in multiple cities and remote rural areas.

WiNetworks’ Win-Max® Pico base station is the best priced base station in the market today supporting the 802.16e Wave 2 Mobile WiMAX standard. Both the Win-Max Pico and the Compact WiMAX base stations are optimized for indoor & outdoor coverage, offering a SoC approach based on WiMAX Forum Certified Mobile WiMAX SQN-2130RD. These products have several advantages including a design geared for quick and easy installations that allows mounting on lampposts, supporting outdoor fixtures and offering economies of scale.

"

Fabrice Ballart, Directeur Général of Altitude Telecom, added, “By developing seamless connectivity to the urban and rural residents of France with new technologies, we leverage the enormous benefits of WiMAX solutions. At Altitude Telecom we expect to see expansion in all areas, reaching more customers and offering them the benefits of WiMAX at excellent rates. Working with WiNetworks is win-win, and facilitates two key elements in this fast-paced arena: competitive prices and easily installable services.”

The Win-Max® product family, including Compact and Pico BST along with mobile, nomadic and fixed CPEs, is commercially available for immediate delivery. Winetworks will be showing the Win-Max® product family at Mobile World Congress February 16-19, in Barcelona, IMA Center Hall 4 Level1.
