BEAVERTON, Ore., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Maxtek Components Corporation, a Tektronix company, announced today that it will now be known as Tektronix Component Solutions. Leveraging one of the technology world's most trusted brands in test instrumentation, this name change reflects the customer's increased access to core capabilities and high-performance technologies developed by Tektronix Component Solutions in support of its parent company, Tektronix.

"As we continue to expand our service portfolio by offering capabilities and technologies originally developed to support Tektronix' leadership in measurement equipment, changing our brand to better reflect this quality and performance makes perfect sense," said Tom Buzak, president, Tektronix Component Solutions. "While aerospace and defense, medical, and communications customers can take advantage of our expanded resources, we remain the organization they've come to trust to deliver high-performance and high-reliability components."

Tektronix Component Solutions' products and services include analog and mixed-signal ASIC design, IC packaging, RF and microwave modules, high-performance data converters, and component test. Customers rely upon Tektronix Component Solutions to solve complex problems and reduce development risk by offering turnkey services and seamless integration between design, assembly, and test. In the past year, the company has expanded its portfolio of engineering, manufacturing, and test services, continuing to meet the growing needs of system, sub-system, and capital equipment manufacturers in applications where signal integrity, high-performance, and high-reliability are critical. Tektronix Component Solutions acts as an extension of the customer's product development teams, where customers value the close connection as well as the knowledge, support, and stability provided for the long product life cycles typical in defense and medical industries.

"As we continue our growth journey, we are excited to bring Maxtek under the Tektronix brand as Tektronix Component Solutions which will remain focused to deliver to customers innovation and a competitive advantage through high-performance components and technology," said Martyn Etherington, vice president, Worldwide Marketing, Tektronix, Inc. "This is one more example of Tektronix continuing to invest in innovation, R&D and helping our customers solve their most challenging technology problems. The new group within Tektronix will continue to offer industry-leading capabilities and technologies, backed by the Tektronix brand offering our customers expertise and commitment to quality."
