"We selected Andrew for this key position because of his extensive experience in the Utilities sector, his intimate knowledge of SmartGrid technology integration and his foresight to use new technologies and IT to capture a next generation of efficiency savings," said Russ McMeekin, CEO, Scientific Conservation Inc.

"I am thrilled to join the team at SCI. Given that the commercial sector accounts for such a large part of overall energy end use it is the perfect place to target meaningful reductions in consumption. SCI sits at a unique point to help drive the convergence between the IT industry and the facilities management space to realize real operating expense savings for our customers' bottom line while generating material energy efficiency savings in a manner that does not require sacrifice," said Tang.

Prior to joining SCI, Mr. Tang spent four years at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) as the Senior Director, Customer Energy Products. In this role, Mr. Tang managed a 500-person team charged with developing products, services and rates for PG&E's 12 million customers to encourage energy efficiency, demand response, and accelerate adoption of distributed generation and electric vehicles. He also led the program for PG&E's upgrade to its second generation SmartMeter™ and was instrumental in engaging and contracting with early stage technology companies focused on energy. Mr. Tang was also responsible for the full life cycle of product development and played an active role in numerous proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission to seek approval and funding for several key initiatives.

Prior to PG&E, and from 2005 to 2007, Mr. Tang was the Director of Intel Corporation's WiMAX Solutions Development, Europe responsible for advancing WiMAX as the 4G networking standard in the region both through entering into commercial agreements with third party telecom carriers and through strategic investments from Intel Capital.

Prior to working at Intel Corporation, Mr. Tang was an Investment Banker from 1990 through 2005 working primarily with Montgomery Securities and Greenbridge Partners, LLC.

Mr. Tang holds a Bachelor of Arts, Mathematics and Economics from Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT., and studied International Economics and History at The London School of Economics, London, England.
