“We now have a strong
foothold in Southern California, where we believe enterprises will
quickly embrace the benefits of our fixed wireless network – namely
faster installations, increased scalability and the ability to manage
all of their services over one connection,” said Mark Spagnolo, Airband
president and CEO. “We will aggressively enhance the existing network
with WiMAX technology to provide more businesses with the ability to
secure the scalable bandwidth they need to effectively manage their
growing data, voice, disaster recovery and network security
requirements.”
“This acquisition is an exciting milestone for both RedWire customers
and businesses throughout the Southern California region,” stated Mike
Brooks, RedWire co-founder and CEO. “Airband’s expertise and resources
will take our network to the next level, vastly increasing the number of
companies that can take advantage of high-bandwidth connections for a
broad range of applications, including Internet access, Voice over IP,
security, video conferencing and remote data protection.”
